On Maj. Hassan

One of the best, most coherent of thoughts that I’ve yet read on the act of terrorism at Fort Hood and the excuses being made for it. It isn’t long, so I won’t excerpt much of it. Go read it all.

And let us also not perpetuate the contemporary impulse of being ashamed of the obvious by neglecting to mention that people of radical views are often incomprehensibly insistent on voicing them at the most antagonistic of moments. There is no lesson in anyone’s experience of radical, rebellious personalities which shows a tendency towards the soft sell.
