The OAM has been doing some decent photography lately.
Looking up into the interior of the Liberty Memorial tower
Emu at the zoo
The Liberty Memorial tower has been open during the First Friday Art Gallery Walk all summer. We just found out about it last weekend – the last weekend it will be open at night for the rest of the year. Makes for a great shot of Union Station looking north at downtown KC. Wow…. ok, the emu is just plain ugly, and no amount of talent from OAM will make that thing photogenic, though I love the way the light is filtered. But damn….the other pics are beautiful!!!
Oh yeah those are great. And yeah the emu is ugly but what a great photo of it!
I like the emu. He’s a serious competent fellow – a Lieutenant Colonel who has come up through the ranks and seen a thing or two. He’ll never make full Colonel, but he knows his trade. People rely on him when a job needs to get done and the chips can fall where they may. Nobody messes with the emu. Have someone else escort the Congressmen.
Indeed. And reliable fellows are rarely beauty queens.
love that last pic
That emu looks like one bad mother…hush your mouth!
Yeah, dude is the John Shaft of the bird world.
All good! My son-in-law would really appreciate the first shot. He has a “thing” for converging lines. (http://www.joshuasegraves.com/2010/jul/23/highwire-brooklyn-bridge-chosen-finalist/ Does lotsa these kinds of shots, posts few.)
That is very cool. I hope he does well in the competition!
