I have next to no idea what the Higgs Boson is. Physics isn’t my thing. I pretty well get why its a big deal. But I love the way it sounds.
…thanks to Domenico Vicinanza, who immediately set to sonifying the ATLAS data on the new particle.
He joked on the NPR interview that next up was the Higgs Boson ringtone. I want one. It would make a cheery little ring and since I get next to no calls, it wouldn’t disturb people all that much. At least not as much as the Megadeath that has been going on with the workmen in our new building…

These days you need to escalate; not Megadeth, but by-God GIGAdeth.
Then again, my ringtone is by Rebecca Black. At the very least, this insures I can take this call in private.

That’s wonderful. Not quite what I’d expect the so-called God particle to sound like, but delightful nonetheless.
My ringtone sounds like an old-fashioned phone ringing. I’m a Luddite that way.
