Homemade Twinkies & Zingers recipe

I have it on good authority that the red zinger recipe turns out just like the real deal.  Which pleases me a lot. These are my favorite. I freeze them – mm-mm good. I think I’ll probably make them as cupcakes, though, rather than try for the zinger shape.

Homemade Giant Ding Dong cake recipe

I have tried this on multiple occasions to rave reviews. It’s pretty darn close to the real thing. Ho-Ho’s were my preference of the two, but they are fundamentally the same.

Might be time to break out the Twinkie baker that was gifted to me several years ago… Black market Twinkies, anyone? Problem would be that they wouldn’t last as long as the real thing. I’m not sure how to put that much preservative into anything. And that’s half the charm of them. :)
