Taco Soup
1 1/2-2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 package Ranch Dressing mix
15 ounces pinto beans, undrained
15 ounces pinto beans with jalapeno peppers, undrained
15 ounces stewed/diced tomatoes
2.25 ounces diced green chilies
15 ounces yellow hominy, undrained
15 ounces white hominy, undrained
Brown and drain ground beef. Sauté onion & celery till tender. Add garlic powder, taco seasoning and Ranch dressing mix. Put all ingredients together in large saucepan. Add water as desired and cook till heated through.

Looks good. I promise I’ll make it according to the recipe at least once before I use real minced garlic and my own chili seasonings in place of a packet of pre-made taco seasonings. Really. :-)
Oh, heck, I’ll even use canned beans at least once. *heh*
Oh, I don’t reckon it matters how you get there :)
Funny thing. I emailed this recipe to my older sister and she emailed back that she had just made a batch for dinner that night and to take to a potluck today. Seems it’s one of my bro-in-law’s fav dishes. :-)
