Last week’s tea party at work
We had bacon sandwiches (bacon, pecans and parsley mixed with cream cheese and a dab of mayo), egg salad sandwich rolls with the ends dipped in fresh chopped parsley, spinach & Swiss cheese quiches, lemon-poppyseed scones (with cream & lemon curd, of course), cheesecake bites, strawberry cakes with chocolate glaze and chocolate raspberry pasta with raspberry sauce and a sugar cookie. The party favors were something one of my aunts did back when I was in middle school. I had a backwards Valentine’s Day party one year. We wore our clothes backwards, painted our faces like Kiss and ate off of Mama’s Anchor Hocking red glass plates. My aunt Cheryl (who really should be a party planner) used clear plastic wine goblets and filled them with shredded paper streamers (back before those were sold ready-made in party shops…) and candy conversation hearts. It must have made quite the impression because I have been wanting to do them for one of my tea parties since I started having them.

I embiggenified every pic and almost licked my screen.
*shakes fist at Lent*
Love the tea cups, too :)
At least Lent prevents the calories, too. :) Licking the screen probably burns calories…
I am going to have to make that bacon spread.
You, being a bacon lady, will love it.
